MIN. QUALIFICATION   : PhD in electronics and/or mechanical related discipline.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Research in mechatronics encompasses areas of embedded electronics, high-performance drives for step motors, permanent magnet synchronous motors, variable reluctance motors. Speed – Torque characterisation, step responses, PID and other electronic control, design of domain-specific humanoids, robotic arms, joints and linkages, application areas such as medical, industrial, etc. Assistance in conducting laboratory sessions in characterising motors, selection of motors for specific applications, mechanical design, and selection of material for prototype ( sheet metal, plastic, etc), software design, testing jigs, etc. Organization of student seminars, class tests, final exams, and evaluation of answer scripts.
