Position: Project Assistant/Associate

Project Title: Modelling, Performance Evaluation and Optimization of New and Emerging WiFi Networks

Location: Network Science Lab, Departments of ESE, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore URL: https://labs.dese.iisc.ac.in/network-science-lab/

Eligibility:

– Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in ECE, CSE or a related field

– Understanding of wireless communication and networking protocols

– Basic engineering mathematics

– Programming skills in C++ and Python

Job Specs:

• Understanding new (IEEE 802.11ac, IEEE 802.11n, IEEE 802.11ax) and emerging (IEEE 802.11be) WLAN PHY and MAC protocols
• MATLAB and/or NS3 implementation of emerging IEEE 802.11be PHY and MAC, simulating and debugging the same
• Surveying recent literature on performance analysis and optimization of emerging PHY and MAC standards
• Analytical modelling and optimization of emerging PHY and MAC standards (depending on the applicant’s skill-set)

Starting Date: as soon as possible

Duration: 6-12 months
