DESE DOCTORAL STUDENTS WINS SITARE-GYTI AWARDS

Doctoral research students (Arjun B S and Alekya B) from BEES lab (https://labs.dese.iisc.ac.in/beeslab/) lead by Dr. Hardik J. Pandya, Department of Electronic Systems Engineering (DESE), Division of EECS, has bagged the prestigious BIRAC SITARE (Students Innovations for Translation & Advancement of Research Explorations)-GYTI 2021 awards.

Rathin K Joshi pursuing his doctoral research in BEES lab, DESE, won the BIRAC SITARE-GYTI Appreciation 2021.

The projects are aimed at developing innovative healthcare devices and diagnostics with translation potential. The research projects that have gained this national recognition are: (i) An Intraoperative Probe for Brain Tumour Margin Delineation (Arjun B S), (ii) Microsensor Integrated Intubation Catheter for Chronic Airway management (Alekya B), and (iii) Neonatal Hearing Screening headband for brainstem and cortical response extraction (Rathin K Joshi).
